METAL LIVE: Kamelot & Dragonforce Review
Location: City National Grove of Anaheim
Price: $80
Kamelot is one of my favorite power metal bands in America, but the vocalist Tommy Karevik comes from Sweden, and the keyboards player Oliver Palotai comes from Germany. I consider their style is more like a European metal band but with something prograssive. My favorite album from Kamelot is Black Halo. I was very excited to see their live for the first time. It seems like many girls like Kamelot. Tommy is a handsome guy, he has short hair with a tie on (Usually I see everyone in power metal band with long hair). He looks so elegant and fasnating on the stage, and he sings so well, he almost never miss any note on the show. Their music has beautiful melodies with a little bit commercial purpose, but it doesn't effect their music quality. Actually I expect more metal bands become commercial bands which means metal is going to be more popupar.
I don't really have much feeling about Dragonforce. All I can tell is they play super well and super fast. They had so much enegies on the stage and try to be funny for their fans. And almost everyone sing in the band except drummer. Marc Hudson is the lead vocalist, his voice is amazing. Power metal bands all have great voices. My favorite power metal voice is Andre Matos from Angra's earlier album Angel's Cry.
