METAL LIVE: Summer Slaughter 2015

Line-up: Arch Enemy, Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, The Acacia Strain, Cattle Decapitation, Beyond Creation.

Ticket: $44.35 (plus tax)

It's been 5 years since I went to Summer Slaughter 2010 in Minnesota. My favorite performances are Cattle Decapitation, Born of Osiris and Arch Enemy for Summer Slaughter 2015.

I missed most performance of Beyond Creation because of the traffic was so bad and we realized there was a baseball game playing at a stadium near by the City National Grove of Anaheim.

Cattle Decapitation's performance was insane. Travis Ryan's voice is one of my favorite death metal voices.

The Acacia Strain and Veil of Maya were ok to me. I don't really like Veil of Maya's new vocal because I always dislike the vocal sing dramatic with death metal voice together in the songs.

Born of Osiris' performance was so fun to watch. So many energies and powers in their music. I like their song Machine so much in their album Tomorrow We Die Alive! I like that they have keyboard player in the band. Some people might not like the electronic parts in their music, but I pretty enjoy it. One thing I don't like much about their music is they have very same overall tempo in all of their songs, but it's fun to listen to their music sometimes but not for long time.

I was excited to saw the new vocal Alissa White-Gluzin sing in Arch Enemy. The performance was really impressive. She was so gorgeous on the stage. People judege her voice so much. I love her voice, very strong and powerful and match Arch Enemy's style very well. It's been 8 years since I saw Arch Enemy with vocal Angela Gossow in Beijing (they were the first metal band I saw in 2007). It's a great memory for me.

 Who Am I ?

I'm Sophie. There is a nerdy metalhead inside of me although I don't look like it. I don't like to drink, smoke or put makeup on to try to impress people. I love loud music and I have a huge passion for METAL.

When I was 18, I was interested in making websites. Therefore, I made a personal metal website called DyingLight that existed for 4 years. I putted many things related with METAL on the site. Right now, I changed DyingLight as a personal metal blog to record my favorite metal bands, metal lives and metal festivals I went, my metal collections and my old DyingLight stuff.
