METAL LIVE: Winter Slaughter

Location: Malones, Santa Ana, CA

Ticket: $25 at door

I only know Cattle Decapitation from the bands list. It's great to know new awesome bands at Winter Slaughter! I only saw 3 last bands.

Crematorium is from Brazil. They played awesome old school thrash death metal style. The vocal is kind of funny and political. He talked a lot during the show. He could be a comedian as well.

My favorite show was Thanatology. They are so stylish and unique! And of course they played so well and the vocal is a really nice guy that he made a heart hands all the time during the show. The guitarist play with ESP LTD 7 strings guitar which I plan to get on this Black Friday, but not for 7 strings~

It's my second time saw Cattle Decapitation. They are kicked ass as usual. One thing really bugged me was the sound engineers didn't adjusted the stage sounds well. They need to turn the microphone volume much louder. I could barely here Travis Ryan's voice. His voice is super important as the great instruments play. And I caught him for a photo together last night. I just noticed Travis Ryan and Josh Elmoreare are vegetarian. The band originally consisted of all vegetarians.

Left: Travis Ryan and I. Right: I bought a vinyl again. It's Agathocles. I used to listen to them in my 20s age. They are a great grindcore band from Bulgaria, how precious!

 Who Am I ?

I'm Sophie. There is a nerdy metalhead inside of me although I don't look like it. I don't like to drink, smoke or put makeup on to try to impress people. I love loud music and I have a huge passion for METAL.

When I was 18, I was interested in making websites. Therefore, I made a personal metal website called DyingLight that existed for 4 years. I putted many things related with METAL on the site. Right now, I changed DyingLight as a personal metal blog to record my favorite metal bands, metal lives and metal festivals I went, my metal collections and my old DyingLight stuff.
